About APDA

The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. Founded in 1961, we are the nation’s leading grassroots organization dedicated to serving the Parkinson’s community.

The APDA West Coast Office was established to serve patients, family members and caregivers living in the Western United States.

Our grassroots network includes professionals and volunteers whose skills and talents work toward a common goal. These individuals include researchers, Information and Referral Center Medical Directors and Coordinators, Chapter members and officers, the APDA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

APDA does not receive any government funding, as we are a privately funded organization.
In fulfilling our mission “to ease the burden, to find the cure,” The American Parkinson Disease Association sponsors a program of services that include:

• Research
• Education
• Patient Outreach
• Advocacy
• Fund Raising - Public Awareness
